If you loose your Sheltie or know of someone who had, or you've found a Sheltie, please contact Sheltie Rescue of Greater Lafayette at peg@bartonshelties.com or janef@mindspring.com to report the loss. Send notices with/without photos and they will be posted immediately. Please include the following information if possible.

Name of pet

Description of pet ( dog, cat, colors of it's fur, color of eyes, was he/she wearing a collar or bandana? etc. )

Your ( or whom should be contacted ) name and contact information INCLUDING EMAIL ADDRESSES

Area the pet was lost in

Any medical or behavioral issues that someone looking for the animal should be aware of

Is the pet wearing any ID or microchipped ?

And if at all possible a current photo

Please be on the lookout for a female Vizsla approximately 6 1/2 years old.

She disappeared in Terre Haute, Indiana on 11/29/2007and may possibly be trying to find her way back to Lafayette, Indiana.

Someone may have picked her up and taken her home as she is a very nice looking dog.

She is spayed and usually has a nervous demeanor in new environments.

Her name is Alaka (pronounced :Ah-Lecka").

Recently moved to the area,

Pudge most likely has no idea how to find his way back home.

Mahogany in color, but has a very grey tint to his fur. He has no white on his back or back of his neck, but his whole tummy is white.

He doesn't have his collar on he is up to date with his shots. He is very gentle in disposition, but very skittish. So he most likely is frightened.

Laddie in Apple Valley, MN went missing a week before Dec. 25th. He is a sable and white, 5 year old un-neutered male with a noticeable identifying mark. He does not have a full collar, instead he has a splash on his right shoulder. As far as I know, he has never been chipped. Please help. All of the vets in the area have been called and notified of Laddie's disappearance, Thank you .

Lost Yellow Lab, Was last seen around the Monon at Main Street in Carmel, just west of Rangeline Road, or Westfield Indiana. She is very timid and is a little afraid of people she doesn't know, so, unfortunately, she isn't likely to let anyone take her in if they tried.

71st & Allisonville Road Thursday night one of our dog adoptions became lost from her new home in the Steinmeier subdivision near 71st Street & Allisonville Road. She is a small Sheltie mix weighing approximately 30 pounds, tri-color. She is timid but very sweet. She is microchipped and was wearing her collar with the yellow microchip tag. Sheltie puppy, 3 months old slipped her collar in her vet's office parking lot Thursday Jan. 8th, 2004. Vet office is The State Line Hillcrest on Lynch Road in Danville, IL. Puppy is microchipped and registered, AKC # is 453B023D5A. All local and microchiop authorities have been contacted.

Puppies Name is Sadie, she is about 14 pounds, she is said to be a big puppy.

My black and white, 9 month old sheltie mix is missing. His name is Willie and he had a royal blue collar on with no tags. If you come across him or have any information on him, could you please contact me at 317-709-1788.

White female Boxer with a brown patch over each eye is missing. She is about 45-50lbs. very friendly, but does not like storms. She is microchiped, spayed and should have tags on a Harley Davison Collar and a chocker collar on. Her name is "LEDDY" and she is missed very much by her family. She was first missing around Aug. 26th. "Leddy," was lost in or around the Greenfield, Indiana area, Cumberland and Mt. Comfort area was where she was last seen. She was first missing around Aug. 26th

Her owners are ill from her absence, the man is a recent kidney transplant survivor and is having a hard time without her (she has been his best buddy during all the problem). Lost Sheltie in Southern Indiana
Last seen on Monday evening, September 15. 15 1/2" shaded sable female, 8 years old. Answers to the name Lorie. Disappeared from her back yard in rural area near Evanston, Indiana on State Road (Highway) 70. Lorie is wearing no tags or collar. Lorie is an obedience trained dog as well as a therapy dog and is used to handling by strangers but may be frightened by this experience and possibly will run.
