My new dad had to talk my mom into adopting me.  She thought of every reason they should not adopt me but she gave in and now I am home for good.  I am such a cute little  8 pound Sheltie girl.  I have a houseful of Shelties to play with and spend a lot of time on my dad's lap.  I am so thankful that Sheltie Rescue saved my life as I had heartworm.  I knew when I went to live with Joyce and Kenny as a foster dog if I behaved, they would adopt me.  It worked!!!  Thanks Sheltie Rescue for making my life wonderful.

When found as a stray in Indianapolis, I was taken to the Humane Society.  I was so frightened.  I had been so cold outside on the run.  They called Sheltie Rescue as I was nervous being in the Humane Society.  It was a scary place.  My foster family took me as their first foster.   Being just a little over a week before Christmas was a lucky thing for me.  One of my human brothers wrote Santa a letter asking to adopt me for his very own.  How could Santa say no???  It was official!  I was adopted and have made one little boy a happy guy.  I share my home with 2 other rescued Shelties.  Life is good for me now.  I feel safe and have plenty to eat.  Thanks Lori, Tim and boys for adopting me.

Wow, I am one lucky Sheltie. I was at Petsmart with my rescue group and my dad came in and just fell in love with me. I am 11 years old and guess what? I have two other 11 year old dogs in my new family. I go to work with my dad. Is that not the best? We are already looking forward to the Sheltie Rescue picnic in June. Hope to see a lot of you there.

Lots of changes in my life in a short amount of time.  I was dropped off in the night in a drop box at the Humane Society.  It was so scary for me.  They named me Rancher.  I am a gentle guy and only wanted a family to love me.  Sheltie Rescue was called and they said yes to taking me!!  I could not be any luckier.  I got all my shots and was neutered immediately.  My foster mom was so nice to me and I got to play with her Sheltie.  I had a warm place to sleep and plenty of food.  When JC and Connie lost two dogs and a cat all in 2007, they were so lonely.  I went to meet them and I wrapped my paws around them and I knew I was home to stay.  I am a happy Sheltie boy now and get so much love and attention.  I think you might even say I am spoiled now but who cares!!   I am only 1 year old so I will have many happy years with my new family.  I will even get to go on vacations with them.

My name is Fleck and I am one cute Sheltie boy.  I have been in rescue for two months and loved my foster family as I had 2 dogs and 4 kids to keep me entertained and out of mischief.  I am a puppy and will not be 1 until August.  I am so happy as I have been adopted.  I will share my new home with a collie.  I think I will get him to play even though he is bigger than me.   I am sure my new mom and dad will have a birthday celebration for my first birthday.   Bonny, my new mom, saw me on the webpage and called Sheltie Rescue.  I am now a big city kid as I live in Chicago area.  Thanks to everyone at Sheltie Rescue and my foster mom, I will have the life I deserve with lots of love and attention.
