My name is Sheila
and I am about 13 years old. I came to rescue
in 2004 and was adopted by a wonderful family
but my new mom had to move to a nursing home. I
was sadly given back to rescue. When my foster
mom and dad, Ruth & Keith, took me to foster I
think they fell in love with me almost
immediately. Well, for Ruth's Christmas present
she decided to adopt me. I am so lucky. I have
the best mom and dad and many dogs to share my
new home. She says I am so sweet and I follow
her everywhere. I could not be happier and now
I have a wonderful home to live out my golden
years. Thanks Sheltie Rescue!!!

I think Sheltie
Rescue is great. They found me the perfect
home. I am a very shy boy but have the best mom
and dad with so much love to give. They are
being very patient with me and I am learning to
come to people. They are pleased with the
progress I am making. I love it here. I am a
big Sheltie boy but that doesn't matter to my
mom and dad, just more of me to love. I know
now I have a home forever!! |

How
could life be any better for a little girl like
me?? I love my new family. When Denise first
heard about me and saw my picture, she knew she
wanted to adopt me. After living in such
terrible conditions, I feel like a princess in
my new home. I share my home with 2 other
sister dogs. I will never be hungry again.
Sheltie Rescue did a great job finding me the
perfect home. Mom says Shelties are the most
loving dogs a person can own. I am proving her
right on that one!! |

I am the baby in my
new family but come spring I will share my new
home with a baby. I am excited. When I came
to rescue, I was so skinny and had worms and
kennel cough. Sheltie Rescue took such good
care of me especially my foster mom. She gave
me a good start in what to expect from a loving
home. I have my own mom and dad and love them
so much. Joshua and Elizabeth came to meet me
at PetsMart and they knew almost immediately
that I was the dog for them. Life is good for
this 13 pound Sheltie girl. |

I have a new name, a
new home and a new family, right in time for
Christmas. I think this is the best Christmas I
have ever had. I came to rescue very skinny and
my foster mom and dad took such good care of
me. They loved me as much as they love their own
Shelties. I thank them for that. Ben and Eric
wanted to surprise my new mom, Carol, with a
Sheltie for Christmas and I am the lucky one
they picked. My dad was in on the surprise
too. There were tears shed when she saw me. I
love my new family and have lots of toys to play
with and I have been told I am getting a new
life jacket, whatever that is, for riding in our
boat this summer. Life could not be better.
When my brothers, Ben and Eric, are away at
college I am the only child. Thanks to Sheltie
Rescue I am healthy happy and loved
unconditionally!! I was called Lassie and my
new name is Shelby. I like my new name.
