Life on the streets for me was so scary and when I found a spot under a porch, I stayed there until a nice lady pulled me out.  I was taken to the vet and treated for more fleas than I want to think about.  She then called Sheltie Rescue for help.  I received all my shots, was spayed and had many teeth removed.  Boy did I feel better.  When Bob and Connie met me, they were still grieving for their beloved Miss Indiana.  They knew I would never replace Miss Indiana but they love me and think I am just about perfect.  They play with me fetch and tug of war.  I share my home with a cat and we are adjusting to one another.  My new mom says my name Dolly fits me perfectly as I am a little doll.   Since I am only 6 years old, I have many years to snuggle and be loved by my new family.  Thanks Sheltie Rescue for making all of us so happy.

When Laura found out I was up for adoption, she immediately called Sheltie Rescue and came to meet me.  It took about 5 seconds for her to pick me up, hug me and say I want to adopt  Audrey.  I am a tiny little girl weighing only 15 pounds but you see I am only 3 1/2 months old.  I have a lot to learn but Laura and Chelsie are going to teach me and spoil me a little along the way.  My new mom is a dog groomer.  I bet I will be the best groomed Sheltie in town.  I am a cuddle bug and get to sleep with Chelsie.  I share my new home with a cat and have a great back yard.  I also have  cousin Sheltie that I get to play with at times.  From the campus of Purdue to the Humane Society, Sheltie Rescue found me a perfect home.  Did I mention I get to go to work with my mom?  Life could not be better for a pint size Sheltie girl.

After living with 2 families, two foster homes and residing in a rehab facility, I am HOME!!!  That is a lot of moving in my four years. My new mom saw my picture on the Sheltie Rescue webpage and she called to make arrangements to meet me.  Boy am I glad she did.  I share my new home with 2 Sheltie boys.  I am the lady in the family.  Kagen and I love to run and play.  Dakota, that is my other brother, is still a little shy around me but with time I hope he will join in the fun.   Mom said she had the two best dogs in the world and now she has the three best dogs in the world.  Gosh, I don't think my life could be any better.   I get to sleep on the bed with mom and Dakota.  Kagen prefers the floor.  I am giving mom lots of kisses.  It feels so good to know I won't have to move again and I will be loved forever.  I feel like part of a family.

My name is Watson and I now have a new mom named Jo.  Jo lost her beloved Luna and she and Ellie, she is my new Sheltie sister, were missing the company of another Sheltie.  Ellie is sort of a loner and mom missed having a dog at her feet.  Well, I am now the Velcro dog of the family.  I am 9 but know I will have many happy years at my new home and my new big yard with the freedom to run and play.   I love everyone and all dogs.   I have been kennel most of my life so this thing called Sheltie Rescue and being adopted is wonderful.  I have not stopped wagging my tail.   My mom has given me run of the house and she is so delighted that I am hers.  I think this was a match made in heaven.  I am a little guy at 17 pounds so mom can pick me up and hug me all the time.  She thinks I am pretty cute too.  Thanks Sheltie Rescue for the best new mom.

Tippy's new owners say they couldn't have found a better behaved dog.  They love her dearly.  She is getting along fine with their Mikey and following the husband around all the time.  She did not warm up to her foster dad, but her new dad is home all day, and her mom works, so I guess that explains the situation.  They couldn't be more happy with her and have offered to foster for our organization.
