I am the first New Years Adoption of 2007!  My how my life has changed in a short period of time.  Before Sheltie Rescue I was left outside, tied up, kicked by a cow and had my paw broken and left to heal without veterinary care.  When I went to Aaron and Rachael's to be their first foster dog, I sort of knew I was home.  I am a tiny 17 pound little guy.  I met Andy my foster brother and boy did we hit it off.  We are best buddies.  I went for a home visit with another family and they decided I was too active for them so I went back to Aaron and Rachael's.  You guessed it, they missed me and wanted to adopt me or should I say Andy missed me and he wanted them to adopt me.  You see he liked having a Sheltie brother.  I love my new home and I have a doggie door and big fenced yard.  Aaron and Rachael have made me feel so special.  Boy am I glad Aaron and Rachael decided to be foster parents.

What could be better than my foster mom and dad wanting to adopt me??  I am Sparky now fondly called "Barky".  I love my new family and my Sheltie brothers, Claude and Ty.  I am the young one in the family.  My owner could not care for me and found Sheltie Rescue.  I missed her but love my new life.  I love to run in my big back yard.  I don't have to go in a crate anymore.  Thanks to Sheltie Rescue I will be loved forever and well cared for.   I don't long for attention now!!!  My new mom even makes chicken tender treats for me.  I think I am being spoiled.

When Donna and Dave decided to add a Sheltie to their family, they waited a long time for the right little guy.  When they met Wrinkles, they knew he was the one.  He now shares his home with a Yorkie and a cat.  He has won the hearts of everyone and all their friends.  He has become Seth's buddy as you can see from the picture.  They all think he is the most awesome Sheltie ever.  He loves everyone and brings lots of joy to the family.  He knows he can snuggle with anyone that will let him.  A happy ending for Wrinkles!!

I am a long way from being put down in a Humane Society to living the good life in Chicago area.  My name is Cassie and I still can't believe I have found such a wonderful family to love me.  Ron has retired so he is home with me and my new mom Judy works but loves on me when she comes home.  Ron has adjusted to my schedule but he thinks I am adjusting to his.  I am about 7-8 years old so I have many years to be a spoiled girl.  I loved my foster mom and miss her but know she helped me adjust and be ready for my new family.  I have grandkids to play with when they come to visit.  Life could not be better and I thank the lady that rescued me from the shelter.
