Rugby #149

Sunday, October 8, 2006

When Rugby entered rescue, we were afraid no one would want to adopt her when they knew the cost of medicine which she will have to take for the rest of her life.  When Angie, read about her on our webpage she wanted to meet her.  The family decided Rugby would be the Sheltie for them.  Angie says Rugby has added a great pleasure to their lives and to Jake their other dog.  She has the home she deserves.  She loves the walks she takes with her new family.  She loves sharing the bed with her new mom and dad...

Miss Teddy #158

Tuesday, October 10, 2006

At 5 years old Teddy was uprooted from the only family she had ever know.  She was a well behaved and loving foster girl.  John and Donna had waited a long time for the right Sheltie.  They wanted a calm girl that could travel with them to AZ for the winter.  She will spend her summers on a lake in IN.  She loves the daily walks with her new dad and the walks will help with her weight loss.

Beauty #160

Friday, October 13, 2006

Beauty is a "beauty" with her unusual color.  When Claudia and Tom saw her picture, they wanted to meet her.  They loved her immediately.   Beauty has fit so well into her new home.  She will celebrate her first birthday with her new mom and dad.  Beauty is a little bigger than most Shelties but Tom had collies so her size didn't matter to him.  Beauty now has the family that she deserves. This sweet girl is home for good.

Max #159

Saturday, October 21, 2006

Max being a bundle of energy and demanding a lot of attention went to the perfect home.  He needed a home without a young active Sheltie.  He will share his new home with an 11 year old lab.  When Mary Jean and her daughter met Max at PetsMart, they were excited with the thought of adopting him.  He will get the attention he needs.  He is loving and adorable as you can see in his picture.   Being a stray before he came to rescue, it is difficult to know what he may have lived through.  He is safe now and will be loved in Mary Jean's home.

Katia #115-K

Saturday October 28, 2006

I am Katia and the very last of the Hurricane Katrina dogs to be adopted.  I guess it took me awhile to get adopted, but I was waiting for my new family because I know what dog lovers they are.  There is another rescued Sheltie that will be in my family. My new mom and her husband wanted a dog to grow up with their new little girl.  That would be me. And my new mom is a stay at home mom, so I will be petted on the whole day, every day.  I'm glad I waited!  I even have a cousin in the picture.
