Miss Indiana #138

Tuesday, September 19, 2006

Miss Indiana won the hearts of her foster family.  When Connie met Miss Indiana, she felt that all Shelties deserve their own home even if they are seniors.  Miss Indiana is 12 but now has her own family.  She had many medical problems when she entered rescue but with time she lost weight and was healthy again.  Connie and her family feel they are the lucky ones to have Miss Indiana as theirs.  They love her so much and that makes her foster mom very happy.  She loves giving kisses to her new mom and dad.

The first 4 years of Niki's life he was allowed to run free.  He is one lucky boy that he was not hit by a car.  He never had the love or attention he needed.  He now has Ray and Helen to spend everyday watching over him and spoiling him.  He didn't like to be alone and he will never have to be again.  He hid for a while when he first went to his new home but soon realized he was safe and no one was going to hurt him ever again.

My new mom couldn't be here for our picture, and my dad just wanted me in it, so we kind of compromised. I am one handsome sheltie I am told.  I am still a pup and need to work on some things, but my new family is very patient and kind. I have a big fenced in back yard and I am pretty spoiled (don't tell mom and dad). I even get to sleep with them at night. I go camping with them. I guess you could say I am one "happy camper".

I love my new home.  I have 2 Yorkies to play with all the time.  When I went to visit Sue and Kim, another Sheltie went along but guess what??  They picked me.  I have big yard and I love all the attention I am getting.  My new mom might even be a foster mom.  I would be able to play with other Shelties then.  Thanks to Sheltie Rescue I have a wonderful home to call my own

Rocky  # 143

My name is Rocky and I finally have the perfect home for me.  When I first saw Dave, I was ready to jump into his truck and head "home"...  My foster mom was in tears and so was my new dad but they both knew this was the best for me.  I am a happy energetic boy.  I have a big farm and lots of space to run to my hearts content.  My new mom and dad are the greatest.  I even have Sheltie sister in my new home.  I love going with my dad in his truck
