How can I ever thank
Sheltie Rescue and my foster mom and dad
enough. I was so sick when I came to Sheltie
Rescue. After a much needed grooming, treatment
for heartworm, all shots and having my teeth
cleaned and some even pulled, I was ready to go
to my forever home with Clem and Lavonne. They
came to meet me even before I was done with my
heartworm treatment. They fell in love and
waited for me to be ready for adoption. I will
be so spoiled and loved. I know my new mom and
dad will enjoy me as much as my foster mom and
dad. I am a happy Sheltie girl now!!

JimBob AKA

You might not
recognize me. I was JimBob, now named Toby and
had those horrible bite marks on my back side
that had to be shaved. I think there were even
maggots coming out of them. Not anymore. My
new owner takes me to a special lady, who bathes
me, brushes me and makes me more handsome than I
already was. My backside is clearing up really
well and I am getting hair again. My new dad
doesn't even care, as long as I am happy. Can
you believe I have a sister who looks just like
me? She was visiting my sick grandma when this
picture was taken, but we play all the time. My
tail has not stopped wagging since I came into
Sheltie Rescue.

What do you think of
my little brother Reece ? He and I hit if off
just great and I really like playing with him.
You can see our tongues show we were having a
ball. I am so happy to be in a house where I can
play with another dog. My foster dogs were a
little bit unfriendly and I played with stuffed
animals. Now, I have a fenced in yard, two great
parents and a new brother. We are almost the
same age, isn't that neat ? Thanks Sheltie
Rescue for finding me a wonderful home. |

Mr.
Lincoln A.K.A. Linc

We come from a musical family. So it shouldn't
surprise anyone that the official rite of
'canine adoption' in our home
is to create a song that we can sing to our 'hairy
kids' while we are loving on them. However,
since Linc was a 'foster' that we might have to give
up, we resisted creating a family song for him --
until a few months ago. That's when we noticed that
Linc was smiling and happy quite a bit of the
time. While this little guy has a bit of a loner
disposition, Linc has always displayed a sweet,
gentle and easy-going demeanor.
This "French Vanilla boy" has been an absolute joy
to have in our home And when Linc began to seek
affection from us on a regular basis, we finally
broke down.
Our family has happily accepted Linc as our own.
And that's the way it should be. This senior boy is
home to stay. |

Spanky,

When Jodi met Spanky at
the Pet Fair, she knew he was the dog for her. This
little guy needed a home of his own and to be the
only dog. That he is and so happy now. He is
calmer and barks less without other dogs. His new
mom adores him and he goes everywhere with her.
