Maggie Jane #78

Sunday, October 23, 2005

Maggie Jane was in rescue for several months.  She became very special her to her foster mom.  She was adopted earlier to a family with small children.  There was just too much confusion for her.  She now has her forever home with Cathy and 2 other rescued dogs.  She seems to be the peace maker in the family.  No one is sweeter than Maggie Jane.  She came to rescue malnourished, starved for attention, eager to please and as her foster mom said has a beautiful soul.   We are all happy Maggie Jane now has the love for a lifetime that she deserves.

I had lived with my previous family since I was 6 weeks old and now I am 8.  I just didn't do well with all the babies.  I loved my foster home and Sheltie Rescue.  I ran, played, jumped and found my foster mom's lap.  Frances, my new mom, drove from Chicago to meet me at PetsMart in Lafayette.  I think it was love at first sight.  Now I am a big city boy.  I love my walks and all my new friends and yes, I do like my sister, Boo the cat.  Mom has enough love for both of us.  Thanks Sheltie Rescue for finding me the best mom ever.  She even sent birth announcements about me to all her friends.  I feel special!!

Jackson #114

When Jackson arrived at John and Lynn's for fostering, I think they knew he would never leave their house.  He won them over, all 12 pounds and 11 inches.  He was all puppy and kept them on their toes.  He had been tied out on a clothes line 24/7.   He was only 15 weeks old and needed some training, attention and love.  He found the perfect home with John and Lynn.  He shares the house and yard with 4 other Shelties.   He is one popular guy!  Who could resist such a cute little boy

I have had several homes during my 7 years but I know I am home forever with Johnna, Doug and Kylie and Jacob. I love it here.  I am overweight but I know with all the walks and playing basketball, I will get in shape. My new family is so thankful for their very special new family member. They are talking about me. Pinch me, can they really love me so much??  They have sent many thank you emails to Sheltie Rescue for finding them the perfect Sheltie.  They think I am awesome and are spoiling me!!

Zoe #129

Zoe came to rescue because her family was moving to an apartment.  There was just not enough room for her and she was use to a yard where she could run and play.  Barb had been waiting to adopt the perfect Sheltie.  She met Zoe and knew she was the one.  Zoe will come when called and that was important to Barb.  She shares her new home with Shelties, horses and barn cats.  When Barb's husband came home, Zoe jumped up in his lap and licked his face.  She is home forever!
