I always tried to be a good girl but was abused by my original family.  I didn't always get much to eat.  Some kind Sheltie Rescue members came to my aid.  I love Sheltie Rescue and want them to know I love my new mom.  Now I know what it is like to be treated kindly and loved unconditionally.  I share my new home with Bonnie, the best mom, and Lou a rescued cocker.  She gives me so much love and now I smile, dance for her and give lots of kisses.  I am about 6 years old so I have many years to be loved by Bonnie!!

Sydney #101

Blake and Sydney are the best of friends.

Aren't they just adorable ?

I am Sydney and I came to rescue with my buddy Emmit.  Being a senior dog at 9, I was so thankful to be rescue and allowed back into a house.  Our previous owners did not have time for us so they left us outside.  When Sandy, my new mom, decided to adopt, she picked me.  I think it was love at first sight.  Some people do love an older dog.   Now I have someone with me all the time and grandkids that treat me so special.  Sandy tells Sheltie Rescue I am the perfect Sheltie and she loves me!!   Now I have the best home to spend my golden years.

When my owner of 7 years died, I was moved to her daughter's house.   She was unable to keep me and decided Sheltie Rescue could help.  I thank her everyday for calling Sheltie Rescue.  I have the most wonderful home with Jim and Marilyn.  I share their love with another Sheltie named Sandy.  My new mom wrote my foster mom with these words, "one little lady", "very special", "good good girl" and "things could not be better".  I think that says it all!!!   Life is good for me.

I am Cody and I love my new dad, Tom.  Tom had owned a Sheltie that lost his battle with cancer.  He was so lonely without his Rocky.  I will never replace Rocky but I have a new place in his heart.  My previous owner had me for a year as she found me as a stray.  Sheltie Rescue took me to the vet and gave me all the care I needed.  When Tom met me, he said "Cody let's go see your new home".  Tom loves me so much and I get to go everywhere with him.  Since I am only 5, I have many years to give Tom lots of Sheltie kisses.

Baby Girl #127

Baby Girl was found as a stray in Martinsville near a Pizza Parlor.  The family that found her tried to keep her but she was terrified of their big dogs.  They called Sheltie Rescue for help.  She weighs only 9 pounds, stands 12 inches and is a real lap dog.  While at the vet for her checkup, one of the vets seemed interested in Baby Girl for his father-in-law.  She went on a weekend visit and she then became Adrian's new baby.  She lives in Pennsylvania and has her new dad home all day.  She is not scared anymore and has a family to call her own.
