When Misty came to rescue, she was not accustomed to being inside but adapted very quickly.  She is 2 years old and her other family said they just didn't bond with her.  Not easy to bond when you are left outside!  She blossomed with love and affection almost immediately.  When Randy, Kelly and their two kids decided on adding another Sheltie to their family they called rescue.   After meeting Misty and another Sheltie, they felt Misty would be the better match.  It was a success from the beginning.  Now Nicholas and Cassie have two Shelties to play with and love.  Her sunburned coat is now beautiful and her sweet personality has brought the entire family smiles of joy.

See the big smile on my face?  I loved Sheltie Rescue and now they have found me the perfect home.  When my owners had to move, they could not take me.  So at 4 1/2 I was looking for a new family.  I am happy and very playful.  I do tend to bark but my new family is working on that.  I do tricks.  I am a big boy at 32 pounds and 17 inches but move very quickly when running.  Renice and Brad (my new mom and dad) drove a long way to pick me up.  I share my new home with 2 cats and a Sheltie.

When my previous owner decided to give me up, it was a sad day for them.  They knew it was the best thing for me as I was crated all day and then allowed to run free in the evening.  I always came home but guess I was lucky I did not get hit by a car or stolen.  Sheltie Rescue was a fun place for me.   My foster mom was home all day and I had a big fenced yard where I could run and play safely with all the Shelties in her home.  When John and Anita decided to get another Sheltie, they called rescue.   Their Sheltie Chip had lived to be 11.  They missed having the company of a Sheltie.  Being only 11 pounds and loving kids they just knew I was the guy for them.  Now I have a big yard that is all my own and lots of grandkids that come to play.  I love my new mom and dad!!

When Joyce met me, she wanted me to be her new baby.  She thought I was so cute.  I am her baby and snuggle with her whenever I can.  I love being on her lap.  I now share my home with Shelties, birds and my mom and dad.  I was found as a stray and the kind family that found me could not find my previous owners.  I am a little guy at 13 pounds and only 11 inches tall.   I feel like a special kid now.  At about 2 years old I am glad I will have many years to be loved by Joyce and Kenny.

I am not lonely any more!  I was given to Sheltie Rescue because my previous owners thought I barked too much.  I was just lonely being chained outside all the time by myself.  I just wanted to be part of a family.  I loved my foster home as I had 2 dogs and 4 kids to play with me and a big fenced yard.  Freedom is wonderful.  When Nancy met me, she knew she had found the dog for her.  We live in her new home and I get to go visiting to family and friends.  I have been well trained but want to learn more.  I love my new mom Nancy!!  Thanks Sheltie Rescue.
