Wesley

Saturday, April 9, 2005

Wesley was a little 11 pound 9 year old boy that came from a Puppy Mill.  He was in sad shape when he came into rescue but his foster mom Katie took wonderful care of him and he just blossomed.  His skin problems cleared up.  He loved his foster home and warmed up to everyone he saw all the while wagging his tail.  He was adopted in September 2004 but it was not the home for him.  We think he missed being with his foster mom, Katie, and her sheltie Sampson.  Upon being returned to his foster home he was back to his old happy self, loving the big yard and doggie door at Katie's.   Once Katie saw how happy he was being "home" and taking his spot on the deck to watch over the yard, she decided to adopt him.  All paws in rescue were clapping for this special little guy.  He is happy again!

Angel

Tuesday, April 12, 2005

Angel came into rescue very malnourished and frightened.  With love and understanding from her foster mom and dad her sweet loving personality started to show.  Her exact age is unknown but we know she is a senior girl.   Surprisingly, she was healthier than we expected.   As an anniversary surprise for Sandy and her husband from their daughter, they were able to pick the sheltie perfect for them.  Angel was just that girl.  They feel blessed to have her as part of their family.  Angel will no longer lack food, shelter or love.

K.C.

Friday, April 15, 2005

K.C. is a 30 pound 6 year old sheltie boy.  His last family moved and can't take him.  He was use to lots of room to run and they were moving to the inner city with very little yard.  He came to rescue very well adjusted.  K.C. went to visit Kelly and her kids.  They loved him immediately.  He ran and played with Collin and Chloe and several neighborhood kids.  He surprised all of us in rescue with his ability to play soccer.    What could be better for this playful boy than two kids to play and romp with him?  K.C. now has the perfect active family for him!

Miss Annie

Friday, April 29, 2005

Miss Annie, as she was called by her foster mom, was a bundle of energy.   When Dave and Debbie adopted Taz, they still had their hearts set on a small female.  Miss Annie was that small girl weighing only 14 pounds at 16 months.   It was love at first sight.  Taz thought he would like this little sheltie sweetheart to be his sister.   Now these two sheltie kids have someone to play with and play they do!!!.   Her new mom reports Annie is so loving and snuggles with she and Dave.   They now have a "matched set" of  happy sheltie kids to share their love.

Tye

Wednesday, May 4, 2005

After Tye lost his original owner of 7 years he suffered severe depression.  When he was given to rescue, he started to overcome his depression.  When Michele met Tye at PetsMart and took him home to foster, she knew almost immediately that she wanted to adopt Tye.  He has found love and a home with 2 sheltie brothers.  He loves the walks he takes daily.
