Skittles

Friday, January 14, 2005

I am Skittles the cute one in the middle.  Donna and Max, my new parents, saw my pictures and fell in love with me.  Boy did they want to adopt me the day we met.  I was a young boy running the streets of Marion.  I am a tiny guy, only 12 pounds, but don't let the size fool you as I have lots of love to give Donna and Max.  I am so glad Sheltie Rescue took me in and found the best family for me.  I am being spoiled and loving every minute.   My new mom and dad keep telling me I am a blessing for them and they love me so much.  Thanks Sheltie Rescue for finding me a forever home.

Tiara

I was named Tiara by the ladies at the Humane Society.  I was taken along with 12 other dogs in a neglect and abuse case.  Look at me now!  I loved Sheltie Rescue and they found me the perfect home.  I am such a happy girl.  Kathy and Joe are already showering me with love and lots of new toys.  I have become buddies with their cat.  I am 2 years old so I will have many years to be treated special by Kathy and Joe.  Joe told my foster mom " Tiara has brightened my life already.  Thanks for finding her for me".  They think I am a sweetheart!!

Cindy

Jane and Jim were the foster parents of Cindy.  She quickly won their hearts.  She is 14 years old, but acts as if she is 4.  She runs around the back yard, throwing a toy in the air, going to get it, throwing it again.  Jane and Jim get such a chuckle watching her.  In the morning, when she comes in from outside, she actually twirls, nips at their pant legs and is so excited and happy.  She is a very independent girl.  The "trick" that she does at night is their favorite.  She stretches out on the floor with her hind legs behind her right in front of the television, just like she is watching it intently, as she struggles to keep her eyes open.  It was that "trick" one night, where Jim and Jane said, "She's not going anywhere."

Lucky

Thanks to a kind lady my brother Chance and I were rescued from a garage where we were kept for nearly a year.  She called Sheltie Rescue.  I loved being pampered by my foster mom and dad.  When Lori and Troy were looking for another sheltie, they saw my pictures and wanted to meet me.  It was love at first sight.  I have been such a good boy in my new home.  I haven't had any accidents.   Lori and Troy give me so much love and attention.  I like it here!  They think I am a beautiful tri boy.  No living in a garage for me anymore.  Now I sleep with my new mom and dad!!

Please tell me it is true!!  I have been adopted by Lori and Troy.  I get to spend my life with my brother Lucky.  They adopted Lucky about a week ago.   My new mom and dad are so kind to us.  Once they found out I was coming into rescue they wanted me to be theirs and share their life with Lucky and Poochie.  We are being spoiled, pampered and loved.  No more living in a garage for us.
