Pinch me as I think I am dreaming.  I love this thing called Sheltie Rescue.  I may be tiny at 11 inches and 13 pounds but I have a lot of love to give.  My foster parents loved me but let me go to Pat and Dave's.  Now I am an only child and share the afternoons with their grandson, Clayton.  I will always have someone to play fetch with me.   I have been told white stuff called snow falls to the ground.  I can't wait to play outside in the snow.  You see, I came from Texas.  Thanks Sheltie Rescue for taking care of me and finding me the perfect home.

Big Sam

Wednesday, November 3, 2004

Big Sam was in rescue for the second time but now he is home forever.  His new family just loves him and in their words "He is just GREAT!".  He even has a sheltie sister Gabby.  He has a big fenced yard for running and playing with Taylor and Hailey.  He loves the Holliday's cabin in Brown County for weekend get-always.  He is a 6 year old boy that will enjoy many happy years with his new family.  His foster family misses him but is happy he found the perfect home.

Robbie

Sunday, November 14. 2004

Robbie went for a car ride to the park for his first meeting with is new family.  Gracie and her little brother Matthew fell in love with him.  He past the test with the kids as Kevin said.  Just a few days later the Andersons decided to make Robbie a family member.  He shares his new home with one cat.  Gracie wasn't sure she liked that he chewed a Barbie doll the first night but she still loves him.   This summer he will enjoy watching people play golf as he now lives on a golf course.

Cody

Cody is finally in his forever home.  The Scotts can't imagine anyone not wanting him.  They think he is just about perfect.  He has a big back yard to run freely and play with the two little boys, Jordan and Jayden..  He has found the couch pretty comfy.  He has already been to many family gatherings.  Cody needed much love and attention when he came into rescue.  Boy, he gets more than his share now!!!  He likes being the only sheltie.

Megan

Sunday, December 5, 2004

Megan was a stray but was later learned she had come from a "puppy mill"  She came with her tail between her legs, filthy dirty, stained fur and very frightened.  We guess she is about 5-6.  She probably spent most of her life in a crate having puppies.   She knew very little of the outside world.  With much love and patience from her foster family, Megan was able to be adopted.  She found the perfect family for her many needs.  They have a love shelties and grew up with them.   The LaCourts know small steps in her learning will be big steps for her.  Sheltie Rescue is so happy for Megan and we know she is in the best home for her needs.  She will grow to be a beautiful bi blue.  Words from her new mom "Thank you for bringing Megan in our family.  It is exciting to see her progress".  Mom found little 2 1/2 year old Alleandra reading to Megan.  Megan had her head on Alleandra's leg.
