Bo Jangles

Sunday, September 12. 2004

I am Bo Jangles and happy to say I have a new mom and dad.  Marvin and Glenda met me about two weeks ago and called to say they wanted to adopt me.  I am so happy I get to be and only "child".  I was adopted earlier this year but the two shelties that lived there just didn't want me to be a part of the family.  That is fine with me now as I have my own family and I hear they are happier just being a two sheltie family.  I am a happy boy and love to play.  My new mom and dad understand shelties.  They had a sheltie they loved so much but he crossed the Rainbow Bridge last year.  I hope to bring happiness and joy to their life.  I know I have lots of love to give them!!!

Luna

Sunday, September 19, 2004

Luna met her new family at the Brookston Popcorn Festival.  She captured their eyes and then their hearts as they heard her story.  She sat on her new dad's lap for a long time and felt right at home.  Animal lovers as they are, they could not resist adding a new member to their family.  Luna loved the children at her foster home, so was happy to know grandchildren would be visiting often.  Luna's journey is over, and SRGL is so happy for her.

Wesley

Sunday, September 19, 2004

Wesley was a little 11 pound guy that came from a from puppy mill.  He was in sad shape when he came to rescue.  He had lost a lot fur due to a skin infection.   He warmed up quickly to everyone in his foster home and never stopped wagging his tail.  He was quite the ambassador for Sheltie Rescue always wanting attention from anyone while at PetsMart or other events.  When Susan met him it was love at first sight.  He now has a home of his own that he shares with a cat.

Cocoa

Cocoa is a senior sheltie girl. Her previous owners left her at a Humane Society.   She is a sweet lady that loves to be brushed and has a nice temperament.  When Steve and Lisa decided to add another sheltie to their family they came to PetsMart to meet several shelties looking for homes.  Cocoa won their hearts immediately.   Their 10 year old sheltie, Roxie, now has a companion.  Cocoa is a gentle soul that will has a wonderful home to call her own and the love she deserves.

Andy

Wednesday, September 22, 2004

Andy is home!  That is what his foster family felt, as they visited him recently and saw how calm and happy he seemed.  His new family is very kind and dog knowledgeable.  They know how to handle Andy and know he is an independent little guy.  They make sure he gets plenty of exercise, the right amount of socialization and training, and lots and lots of love.  He has two Sheltie siblings to play with when he goes to visit family.   What could be better for this handsome boy?
