Molly J.
Sunday, November 16, 2003

Molly's culture test came back negative and two
weeks after surgery, it appears what was done
has corrected her problem. She has had no
incontinance problems at all.
A family, very familiar with Shelties, has been
tracking Molly's progress since she has been in
rescue. They made it clear to us a long time
ago, that when Molly was ready to be adopted,
they would welcome her into their loving home.
We feel Molly has reached the point she could go
to a home with this family, who understands her
little quirks, and are eager to be patient and
loving enough to work through them with her.
Besides, she will have a sister who is only
about two pounds bigger than she.
Molly has come such a long way, and the patience
of her first foster mom has been invaluable. To
all of you who have expressed concern and help
for this little girl, SRGL thanks you sincerely.
Molly goes to her new home on Sunday, November
16. Molly, there are many, many people happy
for you. Good luck, little girl.

Lady
Sunday,
November 16. 2003

Lady was given to her
vet for her owner no longer wanted her. Lady has
had surgery for bladder stones and it was a
success. She will need to be on a special diet
throughout her life but her new mom doesn't mind at
all. Lady is a beautiful girl with lots of love and
kisses to give her new mom. She has a new condo to
call home and she is being treated like the special
lady she is. Her new mom will continue to help
with her weight reduction on walks they share. Lady
thinks the couch is a special place to cuddle with
her mom and get her tummy rubbed. We are all happy
for dear Lady. |

Lilly

Lilly
came to SRGL as an owner surrender, her previous
family had to part with due to allergies. Lilly was
very much loved by her family. She was in rescue for
about 4 days, but her new mom fell in love with her
as soon as her photo was posted on the "Available
Shelties" page of the website. The arrangements were
made for Lilly to meet with the Salyers family, from
then on she has become a very adored family member.
Lilly has a 15 year old girl to love and care for
her, along with 2 preschool aged boys to keep her
busy daily. Looks like SRGL has made another perfect
match. Way to go "Lilly the Flower Child" !!

I am one lucky dog. All
I ever wanted was a great place to run and a
wonderful family to take the time to train me. I
found both things, plus a bonus, two other dogs to
play with. I chase the squirrels with them (we
never catch them). My new mom is so kind....when I
get a little active, she knows how to soothe me so I
can calm down. My new siblings are starting to like
me. I have learned that even though I am very long,
I am welcomed as a lap dog. I have never had anyone
offer to hold me. I really like it. I also share
the family room couch with a cat, and I don't mind
at all. Please don't pinch me, I'm afraid I might
be dreaming, because I am in heaven and I love it. |
Stripe

2003

Stripe has found his
forever home and thinks they are the best family
in the world. He is loved so much and treated
like a king. He even talks to his new mom in a
cute way. He was a stray and when brought to
rescue, he escaped the second day. Luckily he
was found two days later. His foster parents
couldn't get there fast enough to get him. He
wagged his tail when he saw them. His tail is
always wagging. He has found his new dad's lap
is pretty comfortable. He has three people at
home to love him all the time. He is such a
handsome guy and will continue to please and be
loved in his new home. He even has a sheltie
sister he likes. His new mom calls him Stripey!!!
His foster mom misses him a bunch but knows he
is happy.
